CUPE 3131 represents workers at Cape Breton University in various departments of the institution, in roles that are vital to its continued success. If your CBU paycheck was processed, your technology at CBU is working, and your application for admission to study was processed, you have the hard work of CUPE 3131 members to thank. Our members help to keep the institution running every day and support student success.
CUPE or the Canadian Union of Public Employees, provides Local 3131 with the resources to help negotiate a fair and honest working relationship between the workers and the employer (Cape Breton University). In order to do this, Local 3131 meets regularly with the management of the university to negotiate updates and changes to the Collective Agreement which oversees the rules and regulations of fair treatment of union members. Local 3131 believes in and fights hard to promote and support equality, inclusivity and fairness in the workplace.
